Verbena is used in a multitude of recipes, spells and rituals to amplify, add energy or protect.
 
Verbena is an ingredient often found in love mixtures or protection rituals. A magician who wears a crown of verbena on his head while he invokes the spirits is protected. It is possible to carry any part of the plant as an amulet. Placed in the house, the plant protects it against lightning and storms.
