 ☥The Ankh cross was used by the Egyptians to symbolize life. The Egyptians believed that their time on Earth was only part of a greater eternal life. The cross of life therefore symbolizes not only mortal existence on Earth, but also their immortal existence in the afterlife. Its origins and meanings are uncertain.
 Since the end of the 20th century, the ankh has been used again in a decorative way.
